Trimeka Benjamin

Trimeka Benjamin is a visionary strategist and nationally recognized advocate for educational equity, serving as the President and CEO of Swim Digital Group, a firm she founded in 2009 to transform how colleges and universities engage, support, and empower students. Under her leadership, Swim has become a trusted higher education consulting agency known for helping institutions overcome complex challenges related to enrollment, retention, and the student experience.

With over two decades of experience spanning healthcare, national brand campaigns, and education reform, Trimeka blends operational strategy with human-centered design to create scalable solutions that advance institutional goals and student outcomes. She and her team have delivered transformational results for clients such as Morgan State University, Broward College, Amarillo College, Hartnell College, University of South Florida, and Houston College.

Prior to launching Swim, Trimeka held senior marketing roles with NASCAR and one of Florida’s largest healthcare organizations. These experiences shaped her unique perspective on experience design and systems thinking, which she now brings to the higher education space to help institutions build trust, pursue excellence, and lead with courage.

Trimeka also hosts the nationally recognized podcast, Deep Dives with Trimeka Benjamin, ranked among the Top 100 Higher Education Podcasts in the United States, where she leads thought-provoking conversations with college presidents, student advocates, and changemakers across the country. Through this platform, she has amplified stories and strategies that address inequities, expand access, and elevate student-centered innovation.

Beyond her professional work, Trimeka remains deeply committed to community impact. She has served in leadership roles for The Spring of Tampa Bay, Glazer Children’s Museum, and The Women Exchange. She is a member of the Athena Society, International Women’s Forum Women in Sports & Events, and the Women in Leadership & Philanthropy at the University of South Florida. Trimeka is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the nation’s largest public service sorority.

She holds a degree in Business Administration from Bethune-Cookman University and a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida. Her leadership is grounded in integrity, fueled by innovation, and driven by a bold vision: a future where education is the great equalizer and generational poverty is no more.
